Gouvia summer camp opening on 24 July

CORFU. From July 24th to September 24th - Children aged 6-16 who are in need of a holiday, children with disabilities, the elderly (whether they visit Day Care Centres for the Elderly or not), and adults with disabilities will be accommodated at the camp.

The Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality Department of Social Welfare, Education, Culture and Sports announced the following:

The children's 'Stamatios Desyllas' summer camps located in Gouvia Bay, Corfu, will operate for the year 2023, from July 24th to September 24th. They will accommodate children aged 6-16 who are in need of a holiday, children with disabilities, the elderly (whether they visit Day Care Centres for the Elderly or not), and adults with disabilities.

 

There will be four periods:

First Period: From Monday, July 24th to Wednesday, August 2nd (for children aged 6-16, up to 60 children including 24 individuals with disabilities, for 10 days).

Second Period: From Saturday, August 5th to Monday, August 14th (for children aged 6-16, up to 60 children for 10 days).

Third Period: From Thursday, August 17th to Saturday, August 26th (for children aged 6-16, up to 60 children for 10 days).

Fourth Period: From Wednesday, August 31st to Sunday, September 10th (for the elderly, whether they visit Day Care Centres for the Elderly or not, up to 45 individuals for 10 days).

 

Applications should be submitted at the Old Town Hall (San Giacomo), Michael Theotoki Square (ground floor), by July 20th, on working days from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The required documents accompanying the application are as follows:

  1. Clearance certificate from the competent tax office or a self-declaration certified by the tax office in case of non-submission of a tax return.
  2. Photocopy of the social security book.
  3. Medical certificate stating that the required vaccinations have been received, the individual does not suffer from contagious or neuropsychiatric diseases (such as epilepsy, etc.), and they can be accommodated in children's summer camps.
  4. Certificate of family status in the case of large or three-child families.

For the registration of individuals with disabilities, applications should be submitted to the Panhellenic Federation of Associations of Parents and Guardians of Persons with Disabilities.

 

For the registration of elderly individuals, applications will be submitted individually or collectively through the Day Care Centre for the Elderly (KAPI) to which each elderly person belongs.

(Note: Each person should bring their own bedding, towels, and personal belongings.)

 

Για την εγγραφή ηλικιωμένων ατόμων οι αιτήσεις θα διαβιβάζονται ατομικά ή συλλογικά μέσω του ΚΑΠΗ, που συμμετέχει κάθε ηλικιωμένος.

(Σημείωση: Κάθε άτομο θα έχει μαζί του κλινοσκεπάσματα, πετσέτες και τα προσωπικά του είδη).
