Children aged 6 to 12 will be hosted at the camps in four weekly periods, from July 31 to September 9. According to a statement by the Deputy Mayor and Camps Director Spyros Neratzis, "The Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands managed to settle the outstanding issues in order to receive the relevant licensing from the Ionian Islands Regional Authority.
"The job announcement for positions was published in a timely manner, and for the first time, the staff will be employed, in combination with the Creative Employment programme, for three months instead of two. A contract for the supply of ready meals was also signed in a timely manner, as well as a contract with a professional for the shuttle service. The camps will have a fully equipped pharmacy in a separate space, according to all the specifications."
The camps will take place over the following dates with up to 40 children each period:
- Wednesday 31 July - Wednesday 7 August
- Monday 12 August - Monday 19 August
- Thursday 22 August - Thursday 29 August
- Monday 2 September - Monday 9 September
