Second Vidos summer camp begins

(Central Corfu Municipality) The second municipal summer camp on Vidos Island began on Monday, July 28, with 30 children taking part.

The Municipality is happy that this year the camps started earlier than ever before, on July 14, meeting various needs for every family and child. At the same time, the creative activity programme continues uninterrupted.

It is worth noting that the camps had ceased operations in 2017 and resumed after six years, on July 30, 2024, achieving one of the goals of the Municipal Administration. The children's joyful days and the memories they create are the most valuable "gift" for everyone and the true reward for the young campers.

Who it is for

The summer camp programme on Vidos is aimed at children aged 6–12 and allows parents to submit applications at any time, thus offering flexibility and adaptability to family planning.

The second camp session will run until Saturday, August 2, while the third session will take place from Monday, August 18 to Saturday, August 23.

Each camp will host up to 40 children.

The required documents to accompany the application are:

• A printed application form – declaration of responsibility (a sample form is attached).

• A doctor’s certificate confirming:

  • The required vaccinations have been administered,

  • The child does not suffer from contagious or neuropsychiatric diseases (e.g., epilepsy),

  • The child is fit to attend the camp.

Note: Each camper must bring bedding, towels, and personal items with them.
