Update from Deputy Mayor on progress of work at Garitsa Park
CORFU. The second contractor will begin work on the two children΄s playgrounds at the beginning of June and the basketball courts will also be completed.
Regarding the progress of the work in Garitsa, Central Corfu Deputy Mayor of Technical Works, Nikos Kalogeros, met with the project's supervising engineers yesterday.
It was announced after his regular briefing from the engineer, agronomist and the representative of the contracting company, the completion of the irrigation and lighting networks is proceeding smoothly.
According to the Deputy Mayor, the second contractor will begin work on the two children΄s playgrounds at the beginning of June and at the same time the basketball courts will also be completed.The bocce courts are expected to be completed by the end of June, and concurrently, the event space will be made available.
"The park will gradually change form after the work. All observations regarding the completion of the Operating Regulation Plan have been submitted so that it can go through all the required procedures and approvals," added Nikos Kalogeros.
