The Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Special Needs in Corfu is a member of the National Confederation of People with Special Needs and the Panhellenic Federation of Parents and Guardians Associations of People with Special Needs.
Since 1995, the Association has been running the Day Care Centre "Melissa".
The aim of the Centre is to provide creative occupation, psychosocial development and pre-vocational training for individuals with special needs after they graduate from special schools, as well as for individuals with severe and multiple disabilities.
To achieve this goal, there are the following departments:
- Department of Severe Disabilities
- Education and Creative Employment Department
- Confectionery Workshops
