CORFU. There were mass protests in Corfu today as well as the rest of the country following the tragic train crash in Tempi.
The streets of Corfu were full of people today protesting about the rail crash with multiple fatalities in Tempi as part of nationwide strikes and protests.
"We don't accept 'Let's go and whatever happens'" was the slogan from people of all ages, organisations, associations, workers, pensioners, students and pupils who all came together today.
An unprecedented number of people gathered at the Workers Centre as well as teachers and pupils outside the high schools in a clear demonstration of the sadness and anger felt by people.
The two protest gatherings then came together to march through the streets of Corfu Town.
