IONIAN ISLANDS. The fish will be sent to the European market.
The biggest fish caught in Greece in the last decade was caught in the Ionian Sea. It is a 390kg tuna.
Images of the huge fish were broadcast by SKAI TV channel and it is about 3 metres long! A fish trader at the Rentis market said that the 390kg tuna is expected to be sent to the European market.
The fish trader told SKAI that there is a high demand for tuna in Asia, but due to Covid it is very difficult to transport it. This is the reason why the fish will be sent to the European market.
