CORFU. In just 12 hours more rain fell in Corfu than usually falls in the whole of October!
"Athena', with its strong winds and heavy downpours, in just a few hours brought the same amount of rainfall that we usually have for the whole of the month.
Meteorologist Dr. Michalis Sioutas told Enimerosi that from 10 p.m. on Wednesday night until 12 noon on Thursday 110mm of rain fell - compared to 100mm, which is the usual amount for this month.
According to Dr. Sioutas, the weather is expected to worsen tonight, with heavy rainfall again tomorrow, although perhaps not so severe. These weather conditions are expected to continue until the beginning of next week, with heavy rainfall.
