Afra pupils plant ΄olive tree of hope΄

CORFU. Pupils at Afra Primary School planted the olive tree given to them by the Municipality outside their school.
Central Corfu Municipality presented the pupils at Afra Primary School with an olive tree for winning the 'Let's Recycle' 2019-20 school marathon, held under the auspices of SYDISA (Solid Waste Management Association) and the Education Department.
Today, Thursday 17 September, the children gathered outside the school to plant the tree - something that had been delayed due to the extraordinary circumstances this year. Teacher Mr. Mamalos thanked the pupils for their enthusiasm in taking part in the competition along with the PGA for their support and Ms. Alexandra Rigga for providing the pot.
