Six foreign nationals rescued by coast guard off Corfu

CORFU. The coast guard located and rescued six foreign nationals on Monday afternoon.
The Search and Rescue Coordination Centre received a distress signal from a vessel off the west coast of Corfu with foreign nationals on board.
A rescue vessel along with a coast guard patrol boat immediately proceeded to the area and located the boat with six foreign nationals on board. They were taken to Alipa harbour in Palaiokastritsa.
The coast guard service at Palaiokastritsa is now conducting an investigation.
