Corfu at WTM: London meetings focus on 2027 season
CORFU. The Ionian Islands Region has its own stand at the 3–5 November exhibition, with participating businesses from Corfu.
Corfu will be represented at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026, with a dedicated stand representing the Ionian Islands Region and local businesses taking part within the Greek national pavilion. WTM opens on Tuesday 3 November at the ExCeL London exhibition centre and runs until Thursday 5 November. Among those listed in the official exhibitor directory are Apollo Corfu, Mar-Bella Collection and Voulgaris Hospitality Group.
The event brings together destinations, hotel businesses, tourism organisations and airlines. Greece's participation is already looking ahead to the next tourist season, with the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) having approved a special destination presentation event entitled “Greece: What's New for 2027”.
Confirmed Corfu participants

A 24-square-metre space has been rented for the Ionian Islands Region's presence at the exhibition, together with insurance cover and a digital registration package, at a budget of up to €37,200, including VAT.
The UK market and airline partnerships
The importance of the British market to Corfu is reflected in figures from Fraport Greece. In September 2026, Corfu's Ioannis Kapodistrias Airport recorded 120,374 passenger arrivals from the United Kingdom, compared with 70,678 from Germany. The UK ranked first among the countries of origin of incoming flights. The figures refer to the country from which the flight originated, not the passengers' nationality.
During the nine-month period from January to September, total passenger traffic at the airport reached 4,380,283 passenger movements, an increase of 6.6% compared with the same period in 2025. International traffic rose by 7.3%. These are provisional figures for arrivals and departures, rather than a count of individual visitors.
Fraport Greece will also take part in WTM, focusing on promoting the 14 destinations it serves and holding meetings with airlines.
What this year's WTM has to offer
This year's conference programme is themed “Resilience, Recovery and Renewal: The Next Era of Global Tourism”. Discussions are organised around six key themes: access, innovation, growth, trust, destinations and resilience. New formats for interactive discussions and business meetings have also been introduced, alongside the WTM Wanderlust Headliner Stage.
WTM Travel Tech has a particularly prominent role, focusing on technologies that are transforming the way people search for, book and manage their travel. The first day will also see the presentation of the WTM Global Travel Report 2026, produced in collaboration with Tourism Economics, which examines changes in traveller behaviour.
On Wednesday 4 November, from 10:30 to 12:30, the Ministers' Summit will take place in collaboration with UN Tourism and the World Travel & Tourism Council. The agenda includes international cooperation, public-private partnerships and investment to strengthen the resilience of destinations.
As an indication of the scale of the exhibition, organiser RX reports that WTM 2025 attracted 46,500 participants, representation from 182 countries and more than 40,000 confirmed business meetings. These figures relate to last year's event.
