CORFU. From the photos, it is evident that the competent authorities need to intervene immediately to repair the fault before a more serious short circuit occurs.
According to information from an Enimerosi reader, for the past three months the municipal street lighting on the road from Karoubatika to Sinarades has remained on throughout the day.
Beyond the obvious waste of electricity, there is also a safety issue: due to continuous operation, the lighting fixtures’ heads reach very high temperatures, causing smoke to be emitted as soon as they come into contact with rainwater.
From the photos, it is evident that the responsible authorities need to intervene immediately to repair the fault before a more serious short circuit occurs.
