Distribution of composters by Central Corfu Municipality begins
CORFU. The distribution of composters will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, at 1:00pm from the Traffic Education Park in Alykes (Shopping Centre).
Three hundred applications for the home composters were received by the municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontian Islands within a week. Those interested visited the page 'I Make My Own Compost' (https://corfu.gr/ftiaxnw-to-diko-moy-compost/) on the Central Corfu municipality website (www.corfu.gr) and filled out their basic information in order to register their interest.
Those members of the public who have applied will have the opportunity tomorrow, Wednesday, October 9, at 13:00, to come to the Traffic Education Park (Shopping Centre in Alykes Potamou) to collect their composters along with an instruction booklet, as well as to receive further information and resolve any questions.
Members of the public who are interested can also attend, even if they have not submitted a request. Their personal information will be registered during the distribution of the composters.
Regarding areas outside the Corfu Town district, in the villages, visits will be made for information and distribution of composters on a day, time, and location that will be agreed upon with the president of each community."
