Traffic congestion expected due to storm forecast for Friday 22/8 – Appeal to public
CORFU. The Traffic Police have already taken measures to ensure the smooth movement of tourist buses. Instructions were given for the disembarkation and embarkation of tourists to take place exclusively in Spilia.
With weather forecasts predicting a severe storm expected to hit Corfu on the morning of Friday, August 22, the authorities are appealing to the public to avoid unnecessary travel by car.
The increased flow of vehicles toward the town centre, due to the approaching weather phenomenon, is expected to cause significant traffic congestion. For this reason, the authorities recommend using public transportation as an alternative, in order to facilitate both residents and visitors.
