Avliotes still facing problems

In areas of northwestern Corfu, the major problems caused by last week’s severe weather persist. Avliotes remains without electricity and with roads closed. Similarly, closed roads are reported in Magoulades and Arillas.

According to local sources as well as the Civil Protection service of the Municipality of North Corfu, the situation in Karousades has improved. The roads inside the village have been cleared and reopened. There is electricity and water. Around the village, however, problems remain on rural roads.

Once the crews finish their work there, they will move northwest to the affected areas.

DEDDIE crews are also working in parallel to restore power.
