Man rescued from difficult terrain near Paleokastritsa Monastery

The fire department was called out on Saturday afternoon, August 16, to rescue a man near Paleokastritsa Monastery.

The man had become trapped in a hard-to-reach location, and 11 firefighters along with members of the EMODE unit were dispatched to the scene. Using climbing equipment, they managed to free him and transport him to a safe location.

According to the fire department, the man is in good health. In the following video, the fire department’s efforts to free the man from the hard-to-reach spot where he was trapped can be seen.
