Heavy rainfall causes problems yet again
CORFU. Spilia flooded yet again - Power outages
Severe rainfall that started yesterday evening caused problems in Corfu.
Spilia once again turned into a "lake," with businesses being flooded - as happens every time there is heavy rainfall.
The pedestrian area in Evg. Voulgareos Street flooded, with the water level rising above the pavement.
In Agia Ekaterini, a fire broke out in telephone cables, possibly due to a short circuit, and the Fire Department had to respond.
There were also sporadic local power outages in areas such as Potamos, Alepou, and Perama, which are gradually being restored.
