Man, 39, arrested for selling cocaine in Corfu Town

CORFU. The man was caught by the Drugs Squad and the Coastguard.

A 39-year-old Greek national was arrested on Wednesday night by the Drugs Squad, with the assistance of Corfu Central Port Authority K9 team, for drug trafficking.

Following up on information from the Port Authority that the man was selling drugs in Corfu Town, he was found driving in the town centre. In a body search, six nylon bags with 5.3g cocaine were found in his possession, two mobile phones and €300 in cash.

Farmland belonging to him was also searched and 55.3g of cocaine was found along with precision scales. 19 vials with anabolics were also found in his home.

Corfu Central Port Authority, which is conducting the investigation, seized the drugs, mobile phones, scales and his car.
