Thieves robbed three businesses and stole a car in space of just a few hours

CORFU. A 23-year-old man has been arrested and his 31-year-old accomplice is being sought.
Police arrested 23-year-old Roma man who, along with his 31-year-old Greek accomplice, managed to rob a snack bar, a grocery shop and a mini market on the outskirts of Corfu Town in the space of just a few hours and steal a car in Alepou.
The two stole €720 as well as various goods from the three businesses in Agios Ioannis, Alepou and Vouniatades. Police found and seized the car and some of the stolen goods and returned them to their owners.
The thefts took place between Sunday night, 29 January, and Monday morning. The 23-year-old was arrested on Monday and taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor. His accomplice is still being sought.
