Archbishop΄s appeal hearing postponed

CORFU. The court agreed to a postponement this morning.
At the hearing of the Prosecutor's appeal against the verdict of not guilty at the original trial of Nektarios, Archbishop of Corfu this morning, the defence requested a postponement for health reasons with regard to both the Archbishop and the Municipal Council President Dimitris Metallinos.
The request was accepted by the three-member Magistrates' Court and the hearing was postponed to 9 June.
The Prosecutor had lodged the appeal against the verdict of not guilty at the original trial of Nektarios, Archbishop of Corfu for violating the pandemic restrictive measures and having an excessive number of attendees in St. Spyridon Church on Palm Sunday 2020.
The request was accepted by the three-member Magistrates' Court and the hearing was postponed to 9 June.
