Corfu Metropolitan Church claims incident with special needs person is "fake news"

The video was uploaded in a way to create misleading impressions. If someone took the time to watch it in its entirety a bit further on (from the timestamp 6:13 to 6:15), they would observe that the young man, who is particularly esteemed by both the Archbishop and the clergy, serves in all the churches of the old town (there is relevant photographic material available, which, out of respect for personal data, we do not publish but is accessible to anyone interested), enters the sacred space following the Church's order.

At that moment, he did not need to receive a blessing from the Archbishop, just like another young man who followed him and also entered the sacred space. Furthermore, the town's law enforcement officers did not receive a blessing from the Archbishop, as clearly depicted later in the video, but rather paid homage to Saint Spyridon and took their designated place.

It is evident that this is an attempt at 'character assassination' against the Archbishop, due to the views he expresses regarding the marriage of same-sex couples."
