CORFU. As well as looking after people in need Papa Kostas in Pentati is also setting an environmental example to others.

The priest collected clothing and footwear from local residents and after providing for people who were in need he sent the rest to Recycom and not to the Temploni landfill.

The President of All Together for Corfu Spyros Neratzis posted about the fact:

"Our fellow citizens continue to demonstrate that they are keen to follow the principles of the circular economy and that there is a way of thinking which will allow us to change the way we manage waste. To succeed we just need the infrastructure and support.

After collecting clothes and footwear, Papa Kostas from Pentati Odigitria Church took care of those in need and made sure that the rest didn't go to Temploni landfill but to the recycling company Recycom.

One of the many benefits of being involved in recycling is working with someone like Papa Kostas!

We give him our warm thanks!"

We would like to remind everyone that there is a special red bin permanently located outside the Prefecture Building in Corfu Town where members of the public can deposit items of clothing and footwear for recycling.
