Previous Awards

In 2014 Corfu had 30 Blue Flags, in 2015 this dropped to 7, in 2016 there were 10 as there were in 2017.

Greece

Greece has a total of 519 Blue Flag beaches and is in second place amongst 47 countries worlwide. Out of the 47 countries this year, Greece had 12% of the total awards. The top area in Greece, with 89 Blue Flags, is the Halkidiki region.

The International Committee awarded Blue Flags to 3,687 beaches, 679 marinas and 55 sustainable tourism boats worlwide.
