Cut grass and bushes will be removed from Eth.Paleokastritsa Rd. says contractor
CORFU. An Enimerosi reader sent photos of the the rubbish that had been left behind following the cutting of bushes and grass on the traffic island on Eth. Paleokastritsa Rd.
The photos show piles of cut grass, twigs and leaves which weren't removed but just moved to the side of the road and even over fences as some people have reported.
Enimerosi asked for comments from the contractor. Mr. Xepapadeas said that the work was still in progress and hasn't been completed yet. "The oleander bushes are being trimmed along the traffic island as far as Tzavros and then all the rubbish will be collected and destroyed and the area cleaned up. The rubbish is being loaded onto lorries every day and whatever remains will be cleaned up very soon," he assured us.
