South Corfu Mayor reports act of sabotage on water supply network

The South Corfu Municipal Authority is publicly reporting the damage to the Municipality's water supply wells by "unknown people".
 
The result of this illegal and anti-social action is that several communities have been temporarily left without water.
 
Every possible effort is already being made in cooperation with DIADEYAK for the immediate restoration of the damage caused by the theft of copper cables for the electricity supply of the wells.
 
However, this is the second time that an act of sabotage like this has occurred and it is surprising that someone chooses to leave an entire area without water a few days before Easter and jwhen the tourist season is starting by grabbing materials of little value from public facilities.
 
As the South Corfu Municipality we will file a complaint against unknown persons. We call on our fellow citizens to assist in the effort to protect public and municipal infrastructure on which the quality of the residents and visitors' life is based.
