Official start of cruise season at Corfu Port
CORFU. The first two cruise ships have arrived with a large number of passengers.
The official 2023 cruise season at Corfu Port has begun with the arrival of the first two ships and with predictions of high occupancy rates for this year.
The small cruise ship Arethusa arrived on Tuesday evening. The Arethusa, measuring 60 metres long and with a capacity of 50 passengers, arrived at 9:30 pm and will depart today at 3:30 pm for the port of Patras.
The large cruise ship Viking Sky, measuring 228 metres long and 29 metres wide and carrying 891 passengers out of a capacity of 930, docked at Corfu Port this morning.
The ship will remain until 5 pm. Corfu Port Authority CEO Spiros Zervopoulos told Enimerosi that the cruise season has started with very high occupancy rates, which bodes well for the new season.
