CORFU. Police conducted 548 checks in the Ionian Islands and found 35 violations.
Police have been carrying out checks to ensure that non-smoking laws are being adhered to.
Between Wednesday 20 and Saturday 30 April, there were 35 violations in the 548 premises checked by police in the Ionian Islands .
Corfu - 20 business owners were fined €500 each and 2 customers were fined €100.
Zakynthos - 7 business owners were fined €500 each.
Lefkada - 6 business owners were fined €500 each.
