Central Corfu Municipality wins award for its ecological awareness
CORFU. The Central Corfu Municipality wins award following the completion of AQUAHELP Foundation’s “Clean it Like Greek” programme, in which it participated.
Following the completion of AQUAHELP foundation’s “Clean it Like Greek” innovative ecological programme, in which the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality participated, AQUAHELP Foundation’s President Giorgos Korfias announced in a letter the Municipality’s award for its activity and support to the common vision for a cleaner and greener Greece. This is an institution that will be repeated every year, as the culmination of the Foundation's ecological activities.
The aim of the programme, which is being conducted under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), is to become a source of inspiration and ecological awareness throughout Greece and a reference point for the promotion of the the country and its citizens' high ecological culture, giving a different taste to the Foundation's term “modern enjoyable ecology of actions”.
