Presentation of international ΄Crossings΄ programme at Public Library

CORFU. The main goal of ΄Crossings΄ is the connection of students and artists from 10 countries, promoting collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
The presentation of the international programme "Crossings", organised by Christina Mitsani, member of the Special Teaching Staff of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, took place on Wednesday, May 28 with notable success. This initiative, launched by the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, aims to build intercultural bridges between Mediterranean and European countries through performance art.
The event highlighted the participation of the Ionian University Department of Audio and Visual Arts in the programme. Representing the department were faculty members Iakovos Panagopoulos, Marily Argyrokastriti and Christina Mitsani, along with student participants.
"Crossings" has as its main objective the connection of students and artists from 10 countries, promoting collaboration and the exchange of ideas. In September, 50 students — including two from Corfu — will travel to Naples to take part in an artistic workshop focused on performance, centered on the cultural relations of their respective countries and the expression of their identities.
The programme is funded by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research as well as the European Union. The presentation event attracted strong interest from students and laid the groundwork for future collaborations between the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, the Ionian University and the Erasmus program. The collaboration was further reinforced by the presence of Consul Mr. Valsamis at the event.
