CORFU. The donation, the first phase of which has been completed, concerns the training and certification of the medical and nursing staff.

(AHEPA) On Sunday, May 18, the first phase of Corfu AHEPA's major contribution to Corfu General Hospital was successfully completed, with the aim of training and certifying the island’s medical and nursing staff.

The specialised training programme “Neonatal Life Support (NLS)” was conducted under the auspices of the Hellenic Society of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and took place within the hospital premises.

The implementation of the programme was made possible following a request by the Hospital Director, Adamantia Englezopoulou, and the Head Paediatrician of the National Health System, Chrysoula Marangou, to the local AHEPA chapter, which responded promptly and tangibly by fully covering the cost of the training.

AHEPA Corfu continues, with consistency and sensitivity, to support the local community by investing in the improvement of public healthcare and the strengthening of the human resources of public institutions.

The NLS training is an internationally recognised certification, essential for the proper management of neonatal emergencies, and significantly enhances the knowledge and skills of the island’s healthcare professionals.

AHEPA Corfu is committed to continuing this donation by supporting the upcoming phases of the programme, with the goal of ongoing education and certification of the staff at Corfu General Hospital.
