Town crier announces start of Carnival period

CORFU. The ΄Venetians΄ from the Likio Ellinidon and ΄Dia tis Afis΄ welcomed the Carnival with their impressive costumes.
On Sunday, February 16, the Town Crier took to the streets of Corfu, announcing the start of this year’s Carnival on the island.
A series of events has been scheduled by the Central Corfu Municipality, set to conclude on March 2.
Accompanied by horsemen, trumpeters, and drummers from the Old and Mantzaros philharmonic bands, the Town Crier roamed the town streets, informing the public about the beginning of the festive celebrations.
The Carnival was also welcomed by the 'Venetians' from the Likio Ellinidon and 'Dia tis Afis' with their impressive costumes.
