Juvenile arrested for possession of knife

(Police Department) A 17-year-old foreign national was arrested yesterday evening, March 15, by officers of the DIAS Police Unit, and a criminal case was filed against him for violation of weapons legislation.

During targeted checks, the individual was identified and arrested by the officers after a knife with a 15-centimetre blade was found in his possession and confiscated; the knife also had brass knuckles on its handle.

The preliminary investigation into the case was carried out by the Corfu Police Department, during which the minor’s father was also arrested, accused of neglecting his parental supervision.
