(IONIAN UNIVERSITY). The Ionian University Museum Collections in collaboration with the Corfu annex of the National Gallery are once again organising the Slow Art initiative.
On Saturday 19 October 2024, at 12:30pm, we invite you to the Corfu Annex of the National Gallery in Kato Korakiana to the Slow Art initiative, which aims to improve quality of life through museum visits using the method of slow and focused observation of art works, known as Slow Art.
We have selected works that engage with the theme of trauma, in an effort to make the museum a safe space for reflection and productive dialogue around issues related to human social and cultural experiences. These works are not merely artistic creations, but also mirrors of the human experience, inviting us to explore the emotions, challenges, and hopes that emerge from various moments in life.

How to get there
Location: Kastelino, Kato Korakiana
The annex is located 14 kilometres from Corfu Town in the Kato Korakiana area, along the Eth. Paleokastritsa Rd, heading towards Kassiopi and Dassia.
By Corfu Blue Bus: No. 7 Dassia (final stop Katomeri). Starting point: San Rocco Square, Corfu Town.
