CORFU. "(Οur) Universe is Not Locally Real" 13 October - 13 November.

The first joint art exhibition with Panayiota Kapela and Maria Kriga is being organised by the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipal Art Gallery in the "Thanos Christou" Art Hall from October 13 to November 13.

Two artists with different influences but a shared artistic expression, ultimately converging and expressing themselves through the same materials, borrow the title "Our Universe Is Not Locally Real" from quantum theory, suggesting that reality is not limited to a single point but is a multidimensional web of multiple possibilities and interpretations.

Maria-Ilia Katsaridou, Curator and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Audiovisual Arts at the Ionian University, writes about this collaboration: "A unique form of magic emerges in their co-created works. Kriga's precise architectural forms find fluid counterparts in Kapela's spontaneous gestures. These collaborative works, sometimes initiated by one artist and sometimes the other, become liminal spaces where individual memories blend into a collective narrative and invite us to complete them, to add our own layers to the intricate fabric of their memory and experience."

Panayiota Kapela was born and raised in Athens. She studied Painting at undergraduate level and Audiovisual Arts at postgraduate level. She is involved in painting, illustration, and 3D design. She lives and works in Athens.

Maria Kriga was born in Athens. She studied Sociology and Painting. She is involved in graphic design, theatre, architectural motifs, and archaeological design. She lives and works in Corfu.
