CORFU. Ropa Valley hit-and-run driver given prison sentence.
The Single-Member Court of first instance imposed a 16-month prison sentence for abandoning the victim of the car accident. The trial was held on Monday for last Wednesday's accident in Ropa Valley, when the car driven by a 28-year-old man hit a motorcycle and injured the riders. The motorcyclist is seriously injured and is hospitalised at Attica hospital in Athens.
The 28-year-old man is in custody in order to be transferred to a penitentiary while a 3- month suspesion of his licence was also imposed.
