First Capodistrias City Network meeting at Municipal Art Gallery

The first meeting of the 'Ioannis Capodistrias' City Network for the 2024-2025 period was held on Tuesday, 21 May at the Municipal Gallery. The president was the Mayor of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands, Stefanos Poulimenos. The presidency of the Network will be held by the Municipality of Central Corfu and the Diapontia Islands for the next two years.

Representatives of municipalities that are founding members of the Network participated in the meeting. On behalf of the Central Corfu Municipality, in addition to the Mayor, the President of the Municipal Council, F. Alamanos, and the Deputy Mayor of Culture, K. Vousolinos, also participated.

The Municipality of Aegina was represented by Mayor G. Zorbas, while the Municipality of Famagusta was represented by Deputy Mayor Ch. Zannettos. The Network's responsible legal advisor, G. Tsantiris, was also present.

The most important items on the agenda concerned the future legal form of the Network and its strengthening or expansion by incorporating additional cities related to the life and work of Ioannis Capodistrias.
