CORFU. The Permanent Collection of the Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipal Art Gallery reopened this week.
The Gallery has now reopened and visitors can once again see some of the iconic works in its collection such as those of Michail Damaskinos, Pavlos Prosalentis the younger, Haralambos Pachis, Nikolaos Tipaldos Xidias, Vicentios Bokatsiambis and other great Ionian artists.
The Aggelos Yialinas (1857 - 1939) exhibition 'With Corfu Light and Colours', which opened in July 2019, has also been extended due to public response. The exhibition displays 125 works of the great Corfu painter - some of them well-known whilst others are on display for the first time.
The gallery shop-reading room is also open with books, exhibition catalogues, gifts and other useful objects and jewellery.
