Series of meetings ahead of fire season
CORFU. The aim of the meetings is to coordinate all the involved parties.
A series of meetings is taking place at Corfu Fire Department in order to better coordinate the involved stakeholders during the fire season.
At the first meeting, on Wednesday 17th April, Corfu Fire Chief, Nikos Kollas, the Forestry Officer, Ms. Kritikou, along with the head officer of the Forestry Service, Ms. Papaioannou, the Director of the local Electricity Distribution Company (DEDDIE), Mr. Sofianos, and Fire Department officers were present. The meeting was coordinated by the Ionian Islands Regional Fire Chief Mr. Karatzas.
At the second meeting, on Thursday 18th April, the volunteer groups of the Civil Protection General Secretariat will attend, while at the final meeting, on Friday 19th April at the Prefecture, the responsible Deputy Regional Governor, the Mayors/Deputy Mayors, the Police, the Coast Guard, and the Armed Forces have been invited.
