Firefighting exercises at airport and hotel

CORFU. The firefighting and rescue exercises took place on Tuesday 16 April.

On Tuesday, April 16, the Fire Service conducted two firefighting and rescue exercises. The first took place at the hotel complex Akti Messoghi.

The scenario of the exercise involved a fire on one of the three floors and the injury of an employee and a firefighter, both of whom were promptly rescued. Four vehicles and eleven firefighters from the South Corfu Fire Department unit participated.

The second exercise, which took place at the airport, specifically in the fuel area, involved extinguishing a fire on a tanker truck and rescuing the driver. It was carried out by firefighters from Corfu Airport 2nd Fire Station with 4 firefighting vehicles and 10 firefighters.
