΄Xenia΄ restaurant in Paleokastritsa has been leased
CORFU. As ETAD announced, the contract was signed for the lease of the property, thus paving the way for its utilisation through the complete renovation of the building.
The Hellenic Public Properties Company (ETAD) is utilising the 'Xenia' restaurant in Paleokastritsa, another iconic property in its portfolio in one of the most beautiful locations in Greece.
As ETAD announced, the contract was signed for the lease of this important property, thus paving the way for its utilisation through the complete renovation of the building, so as to provide high quality services in the near future to Greek and foreign visitors to the island of Corfu.
The restaurant-cafe is located at Kogou, on the Paleokastritsa beach of Agios Spyridon Bay, south of the Byzantine castle of Angelokastro. The property was originally constructed in 1932, and was included in the 'Xenia' programme of the Greek National Tourism Organisation in the early 1950s.
It is worth noting that the property is 25km from Corfu Town, 27km from the airport and 20km from the island's yacht marina in Gouvia and a new high quality infrastructure is expected to be created through its utilisation, contributing to the development of the whole area.
The call for expression of interest for the lease of the three-floor building was posted in November 2022. The lease term is 15+15 years. The leasing took place through an online tender with a starting price of €75,000 per year.
