Road resurfacing work continues in Central Corfu Municipality
CORFU. Μeropi Ydraiou: "Consistent with our promises, we will continue the road resurfacing and all other works until the last day of our term of office".
The maintenance and repair of the municipal road network throughout the Central Corfu Municipality continues without any problems. The work is carried out with two different contracts.
As for the first contract, which began at the end of 2021 and continues to date, the works in Parelia, Achillion and Paleokastritsa are nearing completion. The project is being funded by the Public Investment Programme and has a budget of €1.7m. The works in Krini and Makrades were completed a few days ago, while works in Skripero will follow.
The second contract concerns the road resurfacing in the Municipal Unit of Corfu, with a budget of €500,000, while the section concerning Anapafseos and Chrysostomou Smirnis St., as well as Lementiou St. in Kanalia (from Eth. Lefkimmi Rd to Ag. Eleni) have been completed. Work will be carried out on roads in Alepou, Solari, Potamos and Koyevina Hill in the near future.
A project that had started at the end of 2021 at the Municipal Units of Corfu and Phaeaces, with a budget of approximately €4.6m, has already been completed.
