Firearm and cannabis found buried outside house of man, 44, in North Corfu
CORFU. Police also found €16k in his possession.
A 44-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning (19/6) in Corfu for drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms.
He was located and arrested during a police operation in an area of North Corfu, and initially, a small quantity of raw cannabis weighing 0.4 grams was found in his possession and seized.
During a subsequent search, in the presence of a judicial officer, at his house, in the storage room, and in the courtyard (buried at a depth of 50 cm), the following items were found in total and seized:
- 11 packages of raw cannabis weighing 70g
- Electronic scales
-1 pistol
- 32 rounds of 7.65mm ammunition
- €16,000
A criminal case was filed against him for drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms. He will be brought to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
