Metropolitan Epitaphios procession ends abruptly due to rain

The main Metropolitan Church Epitaphios procession ended abruptly on Good Friday. The thousands who had gathered for hours in Liston waiting for the main procession, accompanied by the choirs and philharmonic bands playing the funeral marches, had to rush away when the rain began.







Those who were in a position to watch the procession when it began were luckier as they were able to at least see some of the procession, which was the culmination of the day's events.

The procession had to turn round at Mourayia and head back for the Metropolitan Church.
