Exhibition opening: "Independent Brigade. 1922: Bridge of Hope and Salvation"

The opening of the exhibition "Independent Brigade. 1922: Bridge of Hope and Salvation" was held on 30 January at Corfu Art Gallery. The exhibition ends on17 March.

The gallery issued the following statement:

The gallery was full yesterday, 30 January, for the opening of the exhibition "Independent Brigade. 1922: Bridge of Hope and Salvation". This historical art exhibition, dedicated to Brigadier Dimitrios Themistoklis Theotokis and the actions of the Independent Brigade, drew the interest of all those present. The founder of Corfu Art Gallery Michail Aggelos Vradis presented the exhibition and gave special thanks to Dimitris Theotokis (descendant of the Brigadier) for his valuable support in the organisation of the exhibition. Graphic artist Elvira Metallinou coordinated the discussion and the historical consultant for the exhibition Panayiotis Sarantidis spoke as well as the art consultant Maria Melenti.
