Six parties demand Corfu Hospital Director΄s removal

CORFU. The government continues to undermine the Corfu General Hospital.
Six Corfu parties issued a statement following the recent resignation of the doctor Petros Agritis with which they directly accuse the hospital administration and the government for undermining the Hospital.
Specifically, they stated the following:
The latest developments with the new resignations of doctors (15 in the last six months) and the non-renewal of the contract of a psychiatrist, member of the Corfu Public Hospital Doctor's Union Board and its former President, leads to the conclusion that the government continues to undermine the Corfu General Hospital despite the protests by Corfu unions and parties.
We are an island with 100,000 residents, 2 hours away from mainland Greece and the understaffing of our only hospital can be fatal for its residents!
As Corfu parties we demand the immediate removal of Mr. Roubatis from the hospital administration and his replacement by someone that will be accepted by all, as he has repeatedly proved unworthy of his position - a position of great importance when it comes to ensuring the health of all Corfu residents, which at the same time requires consent, dialogue, administrative skills and not a vengeful and political practice followed by Mr. Roubatis, as if he were the Corfu ND office (NODE) Secretary!
