Quality of Life Committee says yes to extension of hours allowed for playing of music

CORFU. Regardless of the committee΄s decision, however, the Municipal Council will have the final word.
There was a majority vote in favour of an extension to the hours allowed for the playing of music at the meeting of the Quality of Life Committee today.
Three councillors (Yiotis, Tzanne and Katehis) voted in favour of extending it to 00:00 during the week and to 00:30 on Saturdays and the nights before public holidays and two councillors from Mr. Trepeklis' party (Dimou and Agathos) abstained.
The councillor responsible for Trade Spyros Moraitis put forward his own proposal for an extra half an hour.
Two catering unions were also represented at the meeting by Vassilis Vassilakis, Nikos Latsas, Yiannis Vlachos and Giorgos Tsonas.
