Boat out of control with four foreign nationals on board

CORFU. With the assistance of the Coastguard and a private boat the vessel was taken to Benitses harbour.
Due to engine failure a boat with four foreign nationals on board was left out of control southeast of Corfu Port on Friday evening.
Corfu Port Authority was informed and a patrol boat and a Coastguard vessel went to the scene along with the private boat Despina. They escorted the boat to Benitses harbour, where it moored safely with all those on board in good health.
Corfu Port Authority has forbidden the vessel Nafsi from sailing until it has a certificate of seaworthiness. There was no marine pollution created by the incident.
