Five defendants found not guilty of obstructing work in Erimitis

CORFU. Corfu Three-Member Magistrates Court found the five defendants not guilty today.
The five appeared in court today on charges of obstructing work in Erimitis, following a suit filed by NCH Capital.
The case concerned an incident in 2017 when the investing company was carrying out workk in the area. The five defendants were the former president of Sinies Local Council and current North Corfu Deputy Mayor T. Mavronas, former Corfu Deputy Mayor V. Kaloudis, Erimitis Plus members Pettros Petropoulos and Dimitris Fatiras and former Mayor K. Nikolouzos.
The defendants claimed that the work was being carried out on municipal paths and that they had asked that the work cease immediately.
