The Government spokesperson said that the subsidy will be coming in the next few days - income criteria will be used and it won΄t be available to all.
According to what has been announced, the new emergency subsidy will be based on income and property criteria.
Government spokesperson Yiannis Economou today said that there will be government intervention regarding fuel, "so that when filling up with petrol, less will be paid than the price indicated on the pump."
Mr. Economou told ANT1, "There will be income criteria which will be more extended than the criteria for financial support for vulnerable groups."
He did not deny that the annual income limit for the granting of the subsidy will be €25-30k.
Regarding the procedure for obtaining the subsidy, he said, "It won't be difficult and it certainly won't be 'rocket science'. The procedure to receive the subsidy won't be complicated. People will be able to pay substantially less than the price indicated on the pumps."
