CORFU. Corfu and Paxos waterdromes will be operated by the company North Ionian Water Airports EPE partnered by Greek Water Airports and Corfu Port Authority.
The certification of Corfu and Paxos waterdromes opens the way for the creation of the much-vaunted network and will bring this form of transport into our lives.
In a statement, Corfu Port Authority managing director Spyros Zervopoulos said, "Corfu Port Authority, owner of the licence, besides its satisfaction at getting the certification, believes that the operation of hydroplanes provides it with another form of transport which will contribute to the further development of the region and the country as a whole."

The President of Greek Water Airports Tasos Govas told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, "The certification of Patras waterdrome is due shortly and this will be followed by certification of waterdromes in the Diapontia Islands, Ioannina and the remaining Ionian islands."
